Tips for Bokeh Photography

For understanding 'Bokeh photography' one must be clear with all concepts of aperture and openings. While clicking a bokeh, the aperture should be full open or you can say f-stop should be the minimum(f2.8, f3.5 etc). Its all about creating shallow depth of field so the lights or reflections in the background gets out of focus but the subject remains in the focus.

  • To create the effect or to shape your reflection, take a black piece of paper
  • Cut the desired shape(like heart) from the centre of the sheet.
  • Tape the paper around the lens without taping the focus or zoom dial.
  • The cut shape should be placed exactly in the centre of the lens.

    HAPPY CLICKING!!!
